In one’s knowledge-belief of the Gospel message comes the revelation-to-realisation of why it says what it really means, and why it is really Good News to hear such things!

Such a proposition presupposes a perilous present-to-previous position, and if such is the case, it thus affirms that the content and source of this Good News must-by-needs-alone, have come in to our position, so that it change something from the inside out, both as it relates to the world of our ideas-to-beliefs, and as it relates to the process in the personhood of our being!

Now, if such sounds like gobblety-gook, than it could be one’s writing style (very unlikely ;-]), or it may be because of some other factors!

Here are a handful of possibilities…

[1] You are and have been “saved” by this Gospel for a long time, and you knew and even still know what it is you believed, and Who it is you believed in, but now you are running with Christ, not after Christ (so to speak)… “It’s called ‘sanctification,’ stoopid!”  Okay, okay!

[2] You know what the Gospel message is all about!  It is about how much God loves me, and wants a relationship with me, and has got such a great life in store for me, that one could get the impression that, though this account has some to say “Heaven Yeah” about, this story seems to be revolving around one particular subject in practice (at least)… wait for it… MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

[3] Maybe you have some ideas, but find it hard to put it all together and articulate exactly what this entails.  You know it has Jesus and His death at the centre, but the meaning of this history is not exactly clear.

[4] I have assumed up to this point that those reading this will be those who are followers of Christ, or those who believe that they are ( see Matt. 13:24-20, 30-36), however, if you are a seeker for truth, keep reading, and the Good News will become clear, as the clouds will begin to disappear, and soon the Hero of this plot-line, the Son will appear!

Therefore…

[A] What we need to do is to keep thinking, meditating, reading, writing, talking, singing, preaching… and blogging about the content of the Gospel, and in light of the present proclivity in Protestantism to obscure the Gospel and the radical message that this entails, we need to proclaim and herald this home!

However…

[Aa] Secondly, and decisively, while we we need to do is to keep thinking, meditating, reading, writing, talking, singing, preaching… and blogging about the content of the Gospel, we need to see and act upon the fact that the Gospel is not merely a means to enter the Christian life, it is the means to live the Christian life.  It is not just to get out of the cold, and in through the front-door to the porch/ hall/ lobby, but it is the means to roam on through these areas, to every other room in this new home-kingdom-life that the Architect-Builder has constructed.  It is not just for that single moment of divine “magic” that was our justification, when we were declared to be righteous, but the moment-by-moment progressively being made-righteous process that is our sanctification.  It is not just the fuel in the tank for the time of instantaneous regeneration, but the depot for our re-fueling-deposit of progressive transformation.  How may other ways can one say this?!

One of the deepest and most pressing needs for Joe and Joe-line Christian in the Pew… that’s me and you… is that me-to-we… grasp this reality as the paradigm for living life under the Sun, and in the Son… That we look to Cross as the centre of our being-to-doing, as the precipice from which all of life flows out from, and to the extent that we fail to grasp-to-integrate this into the lives of our living, is to the extent that we live a life disconnected from the means, the life-source, whom not only establishes all that we are, but who provides the contextual paradigm that should define everything that grows-to-flows in our present-to-future existence, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
