Tim Keller: How Should Churches and Leaders Be Preparing to Address These Big Issues Facing the Church?

1 March 2010 One Comment

If you are wondering what are “These Big Issues” Keller is referencing, it probably means you have not read his previous post where he outlined what he perceives are “these big issues” facing the Western Church!

You really need to read that post, before you have a look at this post… and to complete such an undertaking, you should go… HERE!

In this subsequent post, which fleshes out “these big issues” Keller has identified, “the Cardiologist” points to, what can be described as, five needs, which the local church should be looking to implement in the outworking of its commission, in light of “these big issues.”

The five needs are as follows

1. The local church has to support culture-making

2. We need a renewal of apologetics

3. We need a great variety of church-models

4. We must develop a far better theology of suffering

5. We need a critical mass of churches in the biggest cities of the world

I am sure you will want to read how Keller fleshes out these “five“… which means you will want to go and read the full article, which you can find… HERE!
