Good to have your input Andre!

Yes, it could be grand. Time will tell, but there seems to be a fomenting forming... very grass roots at the moment, but there is potential... we gotta grab hold of it, and do something with it... small steps, but forward steps!

Gotta Keep Talking!

Very True, Man of Spin (MoS) - Tim Keller, if you're reading this, we want you, please!! Lots of Uni/high school students come and go through Parachute having been brought by friends & having had some nice music, maybe more, - but imagine hitting them with the best mind-food that Christianity has to offer while we're at it?!? John Lennox, William Dembski, - there is indeed (it would seem), MoS, a burgeoning class of evangelical philosophers in the US (and maybe even the UK/Aus) waiting to speak to younger minds. Let's bring em over! Or wait - let's talk to Laidlaw College peepz, TANSAA, A Rocha, (NZ academics at our main universities e.g. Neil Broom on the science-y side.) Imagine!

Good to hear from you Mike!

And, good to have you here! I am glad that the post resonated with you!

You want to plug your business at all?... Feel free to give it a mention! It may even get you some more custome... assuming you're selling there, of course!

You never know, Parachute may be scouring for posts on this subject, they may actually read the whole thing, see the comments, and be impacted by these affirmations for the future!

I am beginning to think of Parachute 20-10, as time gets closer... Hoping for a "righteous" time... and not too much of the humid Hamilton heat!

For the Fame of His Name!

Dear Man of Spin,

well done for voicing your balanced opinion of Parachute. I'll again be there (for work purposes), and I have to admit that I do, for some reason, enjoy it. People and music, I guess.

I agree that Parachute could do more to highlight the gospel, but I understand what they're aiming to do, and I generally like the way they do it. Having gone along to the Parachute 'pre-festival' meeting on the Thursday night 'eve of the event last year, I came away impressed with the heart of the folks behind Para. to share Jesus in a relevant, attractive way in our nation.

I too, would love to see one or two of the great names you've mentioned appear at future festivals. Keller! Driscoll! Harris! They'd be great.... (please Parachute, please?)

Thanks again for your post.
