Global Warming Hits the US… They Wish!

12 January 2010 4 Comments

Not that Summer has been anything special at the home of the Man of Spin, at this stage, anyway!

I am the Man of Spin, but I don’t know if I could even get away with the double-fake-whammy of deftly bringing in such a term as “climate change,” after all, the climate, historically, has been such a monolithic beast, boringly punching out the same old, same old, weather patterns.

Anyway, this just in on December’s weather in the US…

The average temperature in December 2009 was 30.2 F. This was -3.2 F cooler than the 1901-2000 (20th century) average, the 14th coolest December in 115 years. The temperature trend for the period of record (1895 to present) is 0.1 degrees Fahrenheit per decade.

Wow!  That’s Cold!  Don’t worry, things can only get warmer!

Ha, nobody believes in global warming anymore, it’s climate change now. May be soon it’ll be climate impact, climate effect, climate danger, climate justice?

    I hear ya “Bobster”

Call me a stickler for the use of language, but allowing the redefinition of such reality, allows those who want to run with this theory, pretty much justify any weather development, good, bad, or indifferent.

    Could call it… Climate Realism!
