ANZAC DAY: The Ultimate Purpose of Pain and Suffering in the World

25 April 2010 2 Comments

Lest We Forget the sacrifice and substitution of so many young and not-so-young who lived, with many of these dying, for our bigger reality and purpose.  We rightfully honour and esteem all that this means for our present existence in the lands of New Zealand and Australia… Lest We Forget!

However, without diminishing this perspective for one i-ota…

Consider this…

“The terrorised and troubled world exists to make a place for Jesus Christ, the Son of God, to Suffer and Die”

“This is the world that God prepared for the suffering and death of His Son”

“The reason there is terror in the world is so that Christ could be terrorised”

“The reason there is trouble in the world is so that Christ could be troubled”

“The reason there is pain in the universe is so that Christ could feel pain”

“This world of suffering and death exists so that God could love like He could only love in this world”

Consider this…

The ultimate purpose of our pain and suffering is that it is in such a context that, not only do you and I make much of Christ, but we do so, in an ultimate way!

This life, and all of life, is Christological, from the cosmic beginnings, to our very personal end!

All of it!

Lest We Forget this also!
