(I am probably going to hear him next tuesday) The above, which is at the core of the omniscience vs. free will problem, simply restates that God knows what choice I’m going to make. It merely obfuscates it by throwing in situation C’s. There is no solution here: when someone knows what choice someone else will make, they didn’t really have a choice. Period.

I’d love to be able to make it up to one of the North Island events (I’m in Dunedin). What a pity the trip couldn’t be longer. There was some demand down here, but the decision was made to fit in the smaller centres up North, rather than the two major centres down South.

And Simon, even if Molinism isn’t true, it’s hardly contradictory. I suspect taking a *slightly* longer time to form an opinion might be a wise move. Wikipedia is helpful of course, but reading one wiki article is not a substitute for becoming familiar with a position.

Ok nevermind. I was under the impression that there was only ONE debate between Craig and Cooke. Apparently there are two between them on Tuesday and Thursday on the same topic (which is a little unusual for Craig to do but cool anyways). Hey if one of them loses the debate on the one day, they can make up for it on the next day

LOL there seems to be a few contradictory dates going on with the flyer and elsewhere. The flyer says Thursday June 19. On this thread as well it says the 19th.

On the pdf flyer that you have posted on the “William Lane Craig Composite Poster” thread it says Tuesday the 17th. On the Matt and Madeleine Flannagan blog it says Tuesday the 17th as well. If someone could clear up the confusion of whether it’s on Tuesday (17th) or Thursday (19th) that would be great (not so much for me, but for the people these flyers will be advertised to). Thanks

I would go and view him talking about molinism except that, after reading up about it (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molinism)
it seems to be ridiculously nonsensical obfuscatory sleight of hand avoidance of the contradiction of omniscience vs. free will. It solves NOTHING!
